Also knowns as Agostino Reghitto Basil.  This basil came from Seed Savers Exchange and we like it because it did slightly better than other green leaf varieties. However, it had more of an anise flavor than other varieties.  It paired well with fresh goat cheese and some fresh tomato.  Highly recommend.

The story from Seed Savers Exchange is "It comes from the family of Steve Foisie and is named after his grandfather, Agostino Reghitto. Agostino emigrated from Italy to Washington State in 1902 and founded Colonial Gardens Company, which raised vegetables for the Tacoma and Olympia markets. It’s unknown if the basil came from Italy, but Steve and his sister Sue recall that their mother, Della (Agostino's daughter), grew it yearly."

0.2 grams (~60 seeds)
