Akers Plum Tomato

Aker's Plum was one of the the two paste varieties we trialed in 2025, and was a nice addition.  It was everything one could want in a nice paste tomato - tasty and thick flesh with not a lot of seeds. 

Our original seed source was from Seed Treasures.  Akers Plum is a family heirloom from Carl Aker who was known for his skill in revitalizing old heirlooms.  

It did fine in the hot Arizona sun, but needed a bit more water than more drought tolerant varieties.  This would be a good variety for Flagstaff and Show Low areas for the local folks.
